Where visiting a company for the first time we undertake to spend up to a full day on site, entirely free of charge, a saving of several hundred pounds. This seems only reasonable - we don't know you, and you don't know us! But by the end of the day we would hope to identify any opportunities and potential pitfalls needing to be addressed. If none are found, then at least you will know who we are and where to find us if future needs arise.
Experience shows that our clients often favour a "no-win/no-fee" approach where the outcome of specific projects is uncertain. This can be the case, for example, where we identify the possibility of securing back duty refunds, but these are conditional upon factors outwith our control. These factors could include obtaining retrospective preference certificates, or securing favourable ATaR (Advanced Tariff Rulings which reclassify previously-imported goods at lower rates of customs duty than those originally paid. Generally such fees are calculated as a percentage of the sums recovered.
These would apply, for example, where we carry out a customs compliance review or assist companies in obtaining AEO accreditation. Fees are calculated according to the overall time commitment anticipated, multiplied by our hourly rates. As you will find out during the initial consultation, our hourly rates are extremely competitive.
Typically these services are chargeable via a fixed overall monthly fee, calculated according to the average time incurred. However, a fixed fee per import can be agreed where incoming shipment numbers are subject to significant month-on-month variances.
